Why check a Discord account's age?
Server moderators use account age constantly: raid bots and ban evaders almost always arrive on accounts created within the last few days, so a quick age check is the single most useful screening step before approving a new member. Account age also settles arguments about who joined Discord first, helps verify that a buyer or seller in a trading server is established, and lets you spot impersonator accounts that copy a name and avatar but can't fake a 2016 creation date.
How does the Discord ID reveal the creation date?
Every Discord user ID is a snowflake — a number that contains a timestamp in its highest bits, counted in milliseconds from Discord's epoch of January 1, 2015. This checker shifts those bits out and converts the result into a normal date, which is why no API call is needed and the result is exact to the second. The same trick works for server IDs, channel IDs and message IDs, so you can paste any Discord snowflake to date it.
Use account age as a moderation signal, not a verdict
A brand-new Discord account can be suspicious in a raid or trading server, but age alone is not proof of abuse. Combine it with server join time, message behavior, mutual servers, profile history and manual moderation review. This checker does not access Discord private data, messages, email addresses or login sessions.

Can I check a Discord account age by username?
No — Discord usernames don't contain any date information and Discord's API doesn't expose creation dates publicly by name. The user ID is required, and it takes about five seconds to copy with Developer Mode on.
Is it safe to paste a user ID here?
Yes. User IDs are public identifiers, not secrets, and this tool decodes them entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored.
Does it work for deleted or banned accounts?
Yes. Because the date is encoded in the ID itself, the result is correct even if the account no longer exists.
Can I check server, channel or message IDs too?
Yes — all Discord IDs are snowflakes with the same format, so the decoded date tells you when that server, channel or message was created.
How old is Discord?
Discord itself launched on May 13, 2015 — so no account can be older than that. The earliest user IDs decode to mid-2015.
How accurate is the result?
Exact to the millisecond. The timestamp comes from the ID itself, generated by Discord at the moment the account was created.
Is this an official Discord tool?
No. It is an independent snowflake decoder. Discord generates the IDs, but this page is not affiliated with or endorsed by Discord.
