Why check a Kick channel's age?
Kick has grown fast since 2023, which means lots of brand-new accounts ride trending categories and copy established streamers' names. A quick age check helps viewers tell genuine veteran streamers from week-old impersonators trying to redirect chat traffic. Sponsors use account age to size up creator pitches, because a channel that's been 'streaming for a year' but was actually created last Tuesday is a red flag. Moderators in chat use it to spot freshly-made trolling accounts before they get out of hand.
How does this checker get Kick's data?
Kick exposes a public channel endpoint at kick.com/api/v2/channels/[username] that returns the channel's created_at timestamp along with follower counts and partnership info. We call that endpoint server-side, parse the JSON, and surface only the public fields. No login, no private data, and no headless browser scraping β but it is still an undocumented endpoint, not a formal official API contract.
Honest limitations
Kick's public API is technically undocumented, which means the schema can change without warning. When it changes, our parser may temporarily return a generic error until we update it. Kick also occasionally puts the endpoint behind Cloudflare challenges β when that happens, the lookup will fail with a 502 and the right move is to wait a few minutes and retry. We refresh the implementation when these break.
RapidAPI and third-party Kick data providers
This page currently uses Kick's public endpoint directly, not RapidAPI. If a RapidAPI fallback or another third-party provider is added later, the page must label it as third-party and non-official. Those results may be delayed, cached, incomplete or unavailable, and they should not be used for payments, contracts, identity checks or other high-risk decisions.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a Kick account to use this?
No. Channel data on Kick is public, and this tool pulls it without any login on your end or ours.
Is this an official Kick API?
No. Kick's public channel endpoint is accessible, but it is undocumented and can change or block traffic without notice.
How accurate is the creation date?
Exact to the second β it's the timestamp Kick itself records when the channel is created.
What if I get a 502 error?
That usually means Kick is rate-limiting traffic or running a Cloudflare challenge against our server's region. Wait a couple of minutes and retry. If it keeps failing, the underlying endpoint may have changed and we'll patch the parser.
Does this work for banned Kick channels?
Sometimes. If Kick removes a channel completely, the endpoint returns 404 and the date is gone. If a channel is just suspended but still queryable, you'll get the original creation date back.
Why does Kick allow public lookup but Instagram doesn't?
Each platform makes its own policy choices about what fields to expose. Kick currently treats channel creation date as public information (you can also see it on the channel's About panel). Instagram and TikTok have chosen not to expose it through any documented public API.
Can I see the verified or partner badge with this?
Yes β we surface whether the channel is verified and what partner tier they hold, alongside the creation date and follower count.
This Kick checker uses a public but undocumented Kick endpoint. It is not affiliated with Kick and should not be treated as a guaranteed API, identity check, contract signal or payment-risk decision tool.
