Why check a Reddit account's age?
On Reddit, account age plus karma is the standard credibility check. Vote-manipulation bots, undisclosed ad accounts and scammers in trading subreddits overwhelmingly operate from young accounts with thin or oddly lopsided karma. Many subreddits enforce minimum account age before you can post at all. A ten-second lookup tells you whether you're talking to a nine-year-old account with balanced karma or something spun up last Tuesday β and it's also the easiest way to find anyone's cake day.
What's a cake day and how do I find mine?
Your cake day is the anniversary of the date your Reddit account was created β the day a small cake icon appears next to your username and your comments mysteriously earn extra upvotes. Enter your username above and the creation date shown is your cake day. The age-in-days counter also tells you exactly how long you've been on Reddit, which is worth more bragging rights than most trophies.
Frequently asked questions
Is this Reddit account age checker free?
Yes β free, with no sign-up and no login. We read public profile data only.
Does it work for suspended or shadowbanned accounts?
Suspended and shadowbanned accounts return no public data from Reddit, so they can't be checked. If a lookup fails on a name you know exists, that's often why.
Can it show deleted accounts?
No. Once an account is deleted, Reddit removes its public profile and the creation date is no longer available.
What does the karma breakdown tell me?
Post karma comes from submissions, comment karma from comments. Old accounts with high post karma but near-zero comment karma are a classic repost-bot pattern.
Do I need to remove the u/ prefix?
No β the checker accepts usernames with or without u/.
